Policy Process Council

Policy Process Council (University Policies)

Add definition of university policy from the glossary

University policies utilize the established Policy Process Council (PPC) which is a collaborative and representative body that discusses new and revised institutional policies as part of a comprehensive shared governance and administrative review process. While having no policy making authority, the Council contributes to broad scrutiny of policy drafts to ensure a university policy does not infringe upon or contradict other policies or negatively impact other units across campus.

The Chair of the Policy Process Council ensures that university policies are reviewed and that the review and approval process is followed, documented, and communicated.

The Institutional Policy Dashboard provides a snapshot of the work done by the Policy Process Council for FY24.
